O’Kell’s Irish Red Ale

A bit sweet, with a lightly hopped tea-like flavor, and an even dextrinous body. Malty with well-rounded and balanced flavors, and a pleasant toasted malt character and dry finish influenced by the roasted barley. This is a malt-dominated reddish ale that is light on the Kent Golding hops and lighter in alcohol than most of our brews (~5.4% ABV). This one is session-able and you’ll want to drink more than one! O’Kell is an ancestral name of our head brewmeister  (it’s the only Irish sounding name in the family tree!)

Ingredients: British Maris Otter Pale Malt, Crystal Malts, British Roasted Barley, Kent Golding Hops, neutral yeast.
